UCLA MFA Screenwriting Chair Richard Walter Welcomes Antwone Fisher in Winter Quarter 2013
Antwone Fisher is walking, breathing, living proof that the American Dream is alive and well in Hollywood. As anyone knows who has seen the eponymous film starting Denzel Washington, Antwone emerged from a childhood of unspeakable impoverishment, abuse, and oppression to become a thriving, successful screenwriter and family man. The UCLA School of Theater, Film and TV is proud to have him teach an advanced screenwriting course during our winter quarter. He joins a family of educators who bring not only an analytical and intellectual perspective to our field but also an insider’s conversancy with the nature of creative expression in a roll-up-your-sleeves, hands-on way.
